We left Jackson at around 1 with a pass though Atlanta on our way to Lima, Peru. After a 6+ hour flight we landed in Lima and after many lines we made it to get our luggage which took longer than the other lines. But after they arrived we put them on the scanner on the way out. We exited and were met by Emma Rasmus our trip planner. As I walked outside I realized that when Emma said our hotel was close I didn’t know she meant on the other side of the street from where we walked out of the airport terminal.
Emma got is checked in, brought us and extra copy of our itinerary and went over it with us in much detail. She left and we went in to our room… Nothing special “airport hotel” but from being up from 4:30am the night before and already getting to 1am the next. Soon after we went to bed closer to 2am.
We boarded our flight to Arequipa… I have been looking out the window at all the mountains and villages or towns they lay between them… Just amazing!
